IRS Art Panel to Meet

The IRS has announced a closed meeting of the Art Advisory Panel will be held on April 2 and 3, 2008, beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Franklin Court Building, 1099 14th Street, NW., Washington, DC. IRS Increases Mileage Rate Through End of Year

The IRS, responding to a recent surge in gasoline prices, has announced an eight-cent increase to the optional standard mileage rates for the final four months of 2005; the new rate for September 1 to December 31, 2005, will be 48.5 cents per mile. The mileage rate for charitable purposes, which is set by statute and not the IRS, remains unchanged at 14 cents per mile.  MORE »
